A Travellerspoint blog

Day 15: 5th Nov

sunny 30 °C

We opted for a light breakfast so we could head out snorkelling. Due to the calm conditions, we drove over to Shoal Bay East and the site of the old Gwen's Reggae Bar and Grill. Although the beach had disappeared a lot from when we were last there due to beach erosion, the conditions looked great for snorkelling. We weren't disappointed! It was definitely the best snorkelling experience we have had on Anguilla and we saw plenty of fish, lovely coral gardens, rays, sea snakes and a turtle.
On the way home we got a take away lunch from the local supermarket which was plentiful! We decided that due to the filling lunch we wanted something lighter for dinner so we decided to go back to the Viceroy's sushi restaurant for dinner. Although the sushi wasn't as good as Tokyo Bay, the setting was ideal.
We were lucky and finally managed to get a table as the restaurant was full when we arrived. There was a particularly lively group of people celebrating a birthday and the arrival of a DJ made it a fun and entertaining evening.
