A Travellerspoint blog

Day 16: 6th Nov

sunny 30 °C

We finally made it to le Bon Pain for breakfast due to its limited opening hours. The cappuccino was very disappointing and the croissants were stodgy and heavy in comparison to those on offer in St. Barths. Certainly not a light calorie option!
We later took another trip to our favourite beach, Rendezvous Bay and did a spot of swimming and sun bathing. We drove to the site of the old Cinnamon Reef resort and weren't really surprised to see that no development had occurred there since the last time we visited. The site captured our imagination but it was also sad to think of what it must have been like during its prime.
We decided to have our final lunch at Blanchards Beach Shack as it was such a perfect location with some of the best casual beach food we have ever tasted.
After lunch we had a bit of a final island tour and went back to the villa. Thanks to the cloud we were able to do some packing without feeling too deprived!
For our final dinner we had decided to treat ourselves to our favourite restaurant from our last visit - Veya. The venue was just as lovely as we remembered and the cocktails were delicious. For a starter, we decided to share the conch fritters which were very good. Grant chose the lobster for his main course and I had the mahi mahi. Both dishes were good but they didn't blow us way like last time. Back at the villa we had a final night cap up on the crow's nest.
