Torridon Trip: Day 1 (27th Dec)

semi-overcast 10 °C

Our first stop was for a Costa cappuccino and breakfast at Burger King at the Kinross services.
We stocked up with goodies from Tesco and Marks & Spencer at Perth.
Our lunch stop was a quaint little place on the outskirts of Aviemore called 'One Pot Borrowed'. We had a tasty curried parsnip soup followed by coffees and a delicious peanut butter slice.
We finally arrived at Shepherd's Cottage just before darkness and we were instantly blown away by the secluded setting. Once inside the cottage we couldn't believe how comfortable and cosy it was with all the modern comforts needed. One of the first tasks was lighting a fire and unpacking with a glass of wine.
We prepared a pasta dinner and sat in front of the log burning stove. Bliss!
